The company is part of the European Südzucker Group, the largest sugar producer in Europe. Over the past few years, the company has consolidated 22 sugar companies, which has allowed the company to modernize. Currently, Südzucker Polska S.A. produces sugar in five sugar production factories around Poland.

Solution
Construction of a System to measure and monitor environmental parameters, including the supply and installation of temperature and humidity measuring devices (hygrometers) as well as construction and provision of a cloud application enabling automatic parameter reading, historical data collection (which is sometimes required during sales and delivery processes), reporting of current object parameters as well as generating statistics and trend analysis.

The solution has been implemented in 8 warehouse facilities at Südzucker Polska S.A. and is operated by 20 users. 4 measuring devices have been installed in each facility.
Data (regarding humidity and temperature) are automatically read from each of the devices installed in the warehouses at a specified time interval (currently 1 hour) and sent using GPRS transmission to the central System database.
Exence’s application (available through a browser directly from the Internet) allows authorized users to view current and historical parameters from devices and presents current conditions and other irregularities (e.g. related to devices: low battery levels, no communication with devices, etc.). The system also generates reports, which are periodically delivered to users in the form of Excel files by email. In addition, it is possible to view parameters and generate reports directly in the web application.
